"i'm to old for that stuff"...
This time gay man wants to tell the whole world about the series "How I Met Your Mother".
"How I Met Your Mother" is one of the funniest series, american television has to offer at the moment. The story of a group of five people living in New York. Ted Mosby is the center of the group. He is telling his children, the story of how he met his mother.
The cast of this series is just brilliant, Neil Patrick Harris, an openly gay actor portraying the straight playboy, which is just hilarious, cause he plays the straight playboy so dramatic, that gay man almost believed he was straight. Gay man loves Neil Patrick Harris in this series. Although gay man wasn't too crazy about him playing Doogie Howser back in the days. Here he has proved himself as an actor. That is only one of the cast. There is also Jason Segel and the rest of the gang.
But to understand what gay man is rambling about, you just have to watch the series.

wisdom out of a box...
Series have been one of gay man's pleasure, not guilty pleasure. Series can be shallow (especially daytime soaps), but one can learn a few thing.
Life is interesting, no doubt. But writers have managed to make life in series way more interesting. How do they manage to make life about a woman who by somewhat weird coincidence had to go to Alaska for a lecture and somehow stayed there after finding out her fiance cheated on her.
Moving to a town (or better said village since its population is only 234, at one episode 233 after one citizen died), where the ratio men to women is 10:1 (which if you watch the series it feels more like 20:1). Gay man fails to see, what is interesting in this series (at the beginning), but somehow the writers made it work. The series gay man is talking about is "Men in Trees".
In a way the series is like "Sex & The City" but less cheesy in dialogues.
This is one series gay man recommends. Gay man sure hopes the network is not going to cancel this series as the networks have cancelled a lot series gay man would've enjoyed.
When you're not in a good mood, "Men in Trees" is the series to watch. There are always those feel-good movies, well this is a feel-good series.

it's always sunny...
It's a TV-comedy series about a gang, who owns a pub in... (exactly) Philadelphia. If there is one thing gay man loves about comedy, is that comedy is a media anyone can use to make fun of anyone.
Why limit comedy to situation, when race, politics, religion and sexual orientation can be subjects of great comedy.
Another example, Russell Peters. A canadian born and raised comedian, whose family is from India. He makes fun of people's heritage. It's all about the culture, habits and the accent of certain races when they speak english.
The political incorrectness portrayed in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is sometimes so outrageously funny, it might offend certain belief, race, sexual orientation or political view. But isn't ones intelligence also measured by ones capability to laugh about oneself. To those who are easily offended by political incorrect jokes, are strongly advised not to watch "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" or any of Russell Peters' shows.
